Cleaning Stainless Steel Appliances

TOW for Clients: Cleaning Stainless Steel Appliances

I love the sleek, modern look of stainless steel appliances in the kitchen.  That is until they are covered with streaks and fingerprints.  Stainless steel is the hardest to maintain but the most popular.  When buyers are asked what their must haves are, over 80% will say they want Stainless Steel appliances. Kept clean and sparkling they can make a kitchen look modern and beautiful. With or without kids, that can be a chore. I’ve even tried many of the products out there that claim to be the answer to keeping them clean and looking great. If you use them often that is! Well, even all the specialized products out there don’t seem to work very well and they can be costly.

In this video blog, we discover the use of coconut oil.  Coconut oil can be found in most grocery stores in a jar that resembles pasta sauce! It’s looks thick and white.  I’ve heard of people using this oil on their hands, elbows, knees and heels to keep them moisturized and to keep them from cracking in the dry heat. Coconut oil has many uses but the main reason I think the coconut oil is a great solution for cleaning Stainless Steel is because of the antibacterial aspects.  I’ve heard furniture polish works well too, but it doesn’t have that extra protection of the coconut oil which is really important in a kitchen.   There is a fairly new insurance product that you should have in your home owner insurance policy that also gives you that extra protection called Building Ordinance.  This additional insurance covers you in case of a partial loss for example you have a small fire in the kitchen that would cause you to have to remodel.  Then you would be required to bring your entire home up to code.  The most recent change in the Building Ordinance is sprinkler systems required in new homes.  That would be very expensive to install sprinklers in your entire home when your insurance is only going to pay for your partial loss in the kitchen!  Check it out with your insurance agent.  If I can answer any questions or help you with a home loan or refinance while the mortgage rates continue to remain low, give me a call.  Iron Point Mortgage, your Folsom Mortgage Banker serves the greater Sacramento and Roseville areas.  Remember, we are here to help.
